This web design in Ballingeary project was done for Béal Átha Trails funded by Sport Ireland and Government Supporting Communities. The website design project had to highlight the walking trails of this West Cork community and it was developed on a WordPress platform. Situated between Macroom and Bantry on the R584, Ballingeary is a Gaeltacht (Irish speaking) village in West Cork by the River Lee. Thus, the website needed to be bilingual, both in Irish and in English language.
The six walking trails had to be configured in Google My Maps both as a group and as individual loops. The Google My Maps was integrated with the website by embedding the code. The six walking trails had their own page with graphic maps and the assigned interactive map on the main website.
The logo was also redesigned and simplified, aligning it with the modern look of the theme. The headers use a parallax effect, hiding as you scroll down the page.
